In order to improve the skills and capacity to work of the staff of Preventive Medicine at the provincial and district in Hochiminh city and 20 southern provinces, thereby improving the quality of services provided to the community, we have made a survey of staff working at the Center for Preventive Medicine in three cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Thap province. In this survey, we used crosssectional survey method. After questionnaire was piloted in Ho Chi Minh City Preventive Medicine Center, Thu Duc district Preventive Medicine Centers, Medicine Center in Linh Tay commune, Preventive Medicine Center in Dong Thap province, health centers Cao Lanh official survey we conducted with a sample size of 51 people. The officers will be interviewed through a questionnaire. Information, data were stored and statistical analysed by software Epi Data version 3.1 and Epi Info version 3.5.3, Excel 2010. Survey results show that epidemiological staff who work less than 5 years and over 8 years claim the majority; staff lack skills and training needs most is the knowledge about the epidemiologylearning, emerging diseases, measure the frequency content condition, basic testing techniques and analysis of test results, the testing method of hand, foot and mouth disease and dengue.
