Objectives: 1. Determining the rate of hypertensive reactions in patients with cerebral ischemic stroke having hypertension in using 24 hours ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). 2. Comparing prognostic of patients' groups with reactive hypertension and real hypertensive groups actually in cerebral ischemic stroke patients. Subjects and methods: 140 patients with cerebral infarction having hypertension, was hospitalized in the first 7 days, mean age 65.5::1: 10.4. All were taken 24 hours ABPM with interval every 30 minutes for daytime (6.00am - 10.00pm) and every 60 minutes at nightime (10.00pm - 6.00am). Results: The rate of reaction hypertension in the acute phase of patients with cerebral ischemic stroke was 11.4 percent. Henry score of hands and feet in patients' group with reaction hypertension was significantly lower versus real hypertension. Conclusion: Need to apply techniques 24- hour ABPM to determine response hypertension to have un plan using medicine and prognosis in cerebral ischemic stroke patients.
