
The study of factors affecting the workload will indicate some solutions to improve the work efficiency among district preventive medicine teams in Khanh Hoa province. A cross-sectional study was carried out with 47 medical staff working in 4 teams and qualitative research was conducted with in-depth interviews and focus group discussions on a number of factors related to their workload. Data was entered with Epidata 3 and analyzed with SPSS 16.0 software. Qualitative data is transcribed and thematically analyzed. The workload is different among the district preventive medicine teams. Factors affecting the workload including age, gender, education, facilities, equipment and operating funds. Some recommendations were made including working team with experienced and unexperienced staff, investment in upgrading facilities and equipment to ensure the working conditions, sufficient funds for activities.
