Knowledge of learning styles would help training institutions orient necessary activities to develop learning styles according to educational environment and professional requirements. The study aimed to describe the learning styles and to analyze the relationships between some social factors and the learning styles. The results showed that the predominant learning styles of the medical students were Accommodating (39.0 percent) and Diverging (34.8 percent), the proportion of assimilating and converging students was 16.4 percent and 9.8 percent, respectively. The percentage of converging students was significantly higher in the group with study results of "moderately good and above". In conclusion, with the predominant of learning styles in HMU students are diverging and accommodating, students should be oriented to develop converging style because this style is more appropriate for medical professional.
