Acne is a relatively benign skin disease, it strikes mainly in adolescence, a stage of development where selfimage and self-confidence are already vulnerable. The sequel of acne is post-acne scarring which can have severe effects on emotional and physical of patients. In order to evaluate the impact of Acne scars on Quality of Life (QoL), the study investigated 50 patients with acne scars (34 females and 76 males) aged between 76 and 44 years at the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology (NHDV). The comprehensive and structured interview schedule was applied according to the "Dermatological Life Quality Index": The interviewees were encouraged to talk at length on the impact that their acne scars had had on their lives. The results are as follows: - 40 percent of interviewees had overall impact on their lives, 62 percent of patients had problems caused by the scars: itching, pain, stinging, ... - 40 percent had embarrassment of their daily activities, 72 percent had impacts on leisure, entertainment activities. - 76 percent had impacts prevented them from study and research, 28 percent had problem of sexual activities, 28 percent had problems with their partners and friends.
