Các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến tình trạng rối loạn dung nạp glucose ở bệnh nhân sa sút trí tuệ

The study aim was to evaluate the putative association between some factors with impaired glucose intolerance in patients with dementia. The patients were divided into dementia group and control group (without dementia). 60 patients in dementia group were diagnosed according to DSM-IV- TR criteria. All subjects were examined and performed neuropsychological and glucose tolerance test. Results showed that there was a positive correlation between the concentration of 2 hour blood glucose with 8MI and waist circumference in dementia patients (r = 0,287; P 0,05 and r 0,05). Screening impair glucose intolerance and its associated factors should be done in dementia patients in order to early diagnose and monitor disease progression.
