
A descriptive cross-se~ional survey was conducted in 410 women in the reproductive age (15-45) in An Phu commune, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province to assess the risk factors of Soil-Transmitted Helminthic (STH) infection that included Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiuris.and hookworms at the study area. Results showed that the risk factors of STH infections to women not knowing causes, harms, and preventions is respectively higher than 2.4, 2.5 and 3.1 times women knowing those. This difference has a statistically significant (p0.01). The risk of STH infection to women eating. raw vegetables and drinking not-fresh water regularly is higher than 3.8 times and 1.9 times respectively women not eating' and drinking these (p0.01 and p0.05). There is an association between regular worming and worm infection. The risk of STH infection to regularly deworming women is higher than 8.8 times to regularly worming women (p0.01).
