
The study in 572 patientS with nonvarices upper gastrointestinal bleeding treated at the Militarary Central Hospital No.108 in 5 years (from 01/2008 to 12/2012). All patients are resident treatment, clinical examination, laboratory, and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Results: General Characteristics: Male meet more women, mean age: 49,4 + or - 5,3; Gastrointestinal bleeding with mild, moderate, severe, respectively: 12.9 percent, 64.6 percent and 22.5 percent. Duodenal ulcer complicated by gastrointestinal bleeding accounts for the highest percentage (52.9 percent) of patients with nonvariceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Endoscopic Characteristics: Percentage Forrest lA, 16, lIA, lIB in patients with Gastro-duoenal ulcer, respectively: 10.1 percent, 12.5 percent, 8.8 percent, 14.9 percent. Effective endoscopic therapy: Percentage of endoscopic hemostasis achieved: 93.1 percent. 6.9 percent of patients with rebleeding after endoscopic therapy.
