
Background and Purpose: Nephroblastoma is malignant and often occurs in infants. The purpose of this study is to characterize scannography in infants with nephroblastoma in order to diagnose correctly, as a result, it leads to proper treatment. Subjects and Methods: It is a transverse retrospective study in 32 patients with urinary system Seamier from Jan 2010 to Jun 2002 at National hospital of pediatrics. Results: Male: 56.2 percent, female: 43.8 percent. Mean age: 3.2 years. Location: upper pole: 43.8 percent and occupying total kidney: 37.7 percent. The biggest diameter: 5cm: 15.6 percent; 5-10cm: 50 percent; 10cm: 33.4 percent. Borderline: wellcircumcrimed 75 percent. Changing the border of kidney: 75 percent. Mass with capsular: 87.5 percent. Tumoral density: heterogenou 65.6 percent, hypodensity 31.2 percent, hyperdensity 3.1 percent. Strong enhancement 75 percent, mid and mild enhancement 25 percent. Calcification seen in 12.5 percent. Central necrosis 68.75 percent and hemorrhage 18.7 percent. Conclusion: nephroblastoma is usually ipsilateral, predominant in the upper pole of kidney with well circumscribe, heterogenous, less calcification, enhanced with contrast material. The tumor trends to compress and invade the neighboring organs and vessels when increasing the size.
