In this study, the authors have implanted human larynx carcinoma Hep-2 cells into subcutanous thigh of athymic mice. Results showed that mice developed tumor after 1 week of injection Hep-2 cell line with 106 cells/mouse. Ultrastructural morphology of tumor tissue in nude mice bearing human larynx carcinoma 4 weeks after tumor transplantation showed that the new tumors formed in mice have featured images of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
