Aspirin resistance are the current tissues in the study of resistance to anti-platelet aggregation drugs in the world. There has been no published studies on aspirin resistance in Vietnam. The purpose of this study was to establish the frequency of aspirin resistance in patients with high cardiovascular risk prolonged use of aspirin in the dose of or = 75mq daily at the Central Military Hospital No.108 (Institute of Clinical Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences 108) and No.198 hospital. the authors conducted optical platelet aggregation tests using Adenosine diphosphate (ADP) at the concentration of 10uM/1 and Acid arachidonic (AA) at the concentration of 0,5mg/ml in 425 patients (124 female, 301 male), the mean age is 66,96 + or - 11,76, the time monitoring of clinical events from 12/9/2010 so far. The authors found the frequencies of aspirin resistance were 69,6 percent (38,6 percent completely resistance and 31 percent partial resistance). Difference is statistically significant with p0,05 between groups aspirin resistance and aspirin sensitive groups in the parameters: age, gender, body mass index (BMI), waist to hip ratio (WHR) and hemoglobin. Aspirin resistance in particular and anti-platelet aggregation drugs resistance in general should be more attention in clinical practice. Platelet aggregation tests are necessary when using the antiplatelet aggregation drugs. Research is ongoing with the aim of increasing the sample, monitoring the new clinical events and evaluating the relationship between aspirin resistance and major cardiovascular events.
