Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu là mô tả đặc điểm lâm sàng, cận lâm sàng, diễn biến hiệu quả điều trịbằng albendazole 15 mg/kg/ngày trong 28 ngày ở bệnh nhân nhiễm ấu trùng Toxocara spp. và tác dụng không mong muốn của albendazole. Nghiên cứu mô tả loạt ca bệnh với 58 bệnh nhân chẩn đoán bệnh nhiễm ấu trùng Toxocara spp.tại Phòng khám, xét nghiệm ký sinh trùng, bệnh viện Đại học Tây Nguyên trong khoảng thời gian từ tháng 01/2021 đến tháng 12/2021. Các bệnh nhân được phỏng vấn, khám lâm sàng, xét nghiệm cận lâm sàng, theo dõi hiệu quả điều trị và tác dụng không mong muốn. Bệnh nhân được tái khám để ghi nhận các dấu hiệu lâm sàng, cận lâm sàng và tác dụng không mong muốn của albendazole sau 90 ngày điều trị. Kết quả cho thấy có 68,4% bệnh nhân được điều trị khỏi các triệu chứng về da - niêm mạc, 50% bệnh nhân được điều trị khỏi triệu chứng đau đầu, 88,0% mức bạch cầu ái toan trở về bình thường, 27,6% bệnh nhân mức huyết thanh dương tính trở về bình thường. Về tác dụng không mong muốn có 22,4% bệnh nhân gặp vấn đề mệt mỏi, 1,7%đau đầu, 3,4% tăng men gan, có 5,2% phù và 22,4% bệnh nhân gặp ít nhất một tác dụng không mong muốn.
The study’s objective was to describe the clinical, subclinical, and effective treatment progression with albendazole 15 mg/kg/day for 28 days in patients infected with Toxocạra spp. and the side effects of albendazole. The study described a case series with 58 patients diagnosed with Toxocara spp. at the Parasitology Clinic, Tay Nguyen University Hospital from January 2021 to December 2021. The patients were interviewed, clinical examination, subclinical tests, monitored on treatment effectiveness and side effects. They were re-examined to record clinical, subclinical signs and side effects of albendazole after 90 days of treatment. The results showed that 68.4% of patients were cured of skin-mucosal symptoms, 50% of patients were cured of headache symptoms, 88.0% of eosinophil counts returned to normal, and 27.6% of patients with positive serum levels returned to normal. Regarding side effects, 22.4% of patients had problems with fatigue, 1.7% of headaches, 3.4% of liver enzymes, 5.2% of edema and 22.4% of patients with at least an unwanted side effect.
