Results: Mean age was 61.01 years range: 18-95. Comorbidities: hypertension: 22.1 percent. Patients with acute cholecystitis typically complain of abdominal pain in the right upper quadrant: 97.5 percent, fever: 83.6 percent, positive Murphy sign: 95.6 percent, right upper quadrant tenderness: 61 percent. Elevated white blood cell count: 61.4 percent, elevation of SGOT level: 36.1 percent. Ultrasound: the present of stones in the gallblader: 88 percent, gallbladder wall thickening: 100 percent, pericholecystic fluidcollection: 41.8 percent. Conclusions: The typically clinical symptoms of acute cholecystitis: pain in the right upper quadrant, fever, positive Murphy sign, elevated white blood cell count. Ultrasound: the present of stones in the gallblader, gallbladder wall thickening, pericholecystic fluidcollection.
