
Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of Tazasone forte on treatment of psoriasis vulgaris at the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology, and to identify the unwanted effects of the drug. Methods: This is a clinical trial compared the clinical features of psoriasis before and after treatment. Results: Tazasone forte gradually improved the quality of life for psoriasis patients, the discomfort scales that impact on daily life of the patients were reduced 7.04 percent after 1 week and 49.30 percent after 4 weeks. Similarly, the severity of itchiness was decreased 18.94 percent after the first week and 64,06 percent after the fourth week. PASI score was lessened 24.05 percent after 1 week and continued to decrease 67.23 percent after 4 weeks. Common side effects of the drug include dryness and stretchness of the skin after topical application (42.58 percent), skin desquamation (46.67 percent), burning (14.29 percent) and less frequently, increased redness (8,80 percent). Conclusion: Tazasone forte is effective for treating psoriasis vulgaris. Unwanted effects of the drug might be limited by reducing the frequency of topical application or combining with medication soothe the skin.
