Nghiên cứu nhằm xác định sự thay đổi khớp cắn và các chỉ số trên phim sọ nghiêng giữa trước và sau một thời gian đeo khí cụ Twicare. Đối tượng nghiên cứu là 34 bệnh nhân sai khớp cắn loại II, lùi hàm dưới còn trong độ tuổi tăng trưởng được điều trị với khí cụ Twicare. Phương pháp nghiên cứu: nghiên cứu thử nghiệm lâm sàng so sánh trước và sau khi đeo khí cụ. Kết quả: góc SNB tăng 1,88±1,2, góc ANB giảm 1,47±1,35 và Wits giảm 2,24±1,59. Độ cắn chìa và cắn trùm giảm khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê sau một thời gian đeo khi đeo khí cụ. Kết luận: Khí cụ Twicare có hiệu quả điều trị kích thích đưa xương hàm dưới ra trước và giảm độ cắn chìa và cắn trùm.
The purpose of this study was to compare the change of occlusal and cephalometrics analysis in patients before and after treated with Twicare appliances. Subjects were 34 growing patients with class II malocclusion and mandibular retrusion. Methods: clinical trial study, comparing before and after using appliance. Results: SNB increased by 1.88 ± 1.2; ANB increased by 1.47 ± 1.35 and Wits decreased by 2.24±1.59; statistically significant differences of overjet and overbite between before and after treatment were found. Conclusion: Twicare appliance is effective in moving mandibular forward and decreasing overjet and overbite.
