
Subdural chronic hematoma is a miscellaneous liquids capsules located in the epidural cavity, appeared from the third week after injury. Objective: Evaluate the clinical criteria, the imaging features, diagnosed and surgical treatment. Materials and methods: the prospective descriptive study with subdural chronic hematoma patients at Viet Duc hospital from 1/2013 to 6/2013.The critical criteria: age, sex, cause of accident, Results: 70 patients diagnosed and underwent surgical treatment during 6 months. The common clinical symptoms: headaches 100 percent, hemiplegia 61.4 percent, vomiting 41.4 percent, 44.3 percent psychological impaired. The most common cause: trauma 88.6 percent. The patient history showed: 30 percent hypertension, 14,3 percent diabetes, 3 percent anticoagulant drug. CT scan imaging showed 81.4 percent, hypodensity 61.4 percent. Surgical: hematoma drainage 94.3 percent.good outcome with 88.5 percent complete recovery. Conclusion: single hole trepanation techniques for subdural chronic hematoma were the good choice and had the good outcome.
