The results of laminoplasty for treatment of cervical stenotic myelopathy. Objective: To evaluate the results of laminoplasty for treatment of multi-level cervical stenotic myelopathy. Subjects and methods: A prospective study was done on 32 patients with cervical spinal stenosis at Neurosurgery Department, Cho Ray Hospital from January 2008 to August 2013. Results: The cervical spinal stenosis mainly occur in men with sex ratio of 5.411, mean ages was 57.3 + or - 9.5 years. The weakness of all four limbs (50 percent) and paresthesia (71.9 percent) accounted for the highest rate for hospitalization. All of patients were operated through the Kurokawa laminoplasty. General recovery rate: 58.5 + or - 12.8 percent. No patient died. Conclusion: The laminoplasty is amongst basic operated methods for treatment of multi-level cervical stenotic myelopathy. With this technique, recovery result is good, and a low incidence of complications.
