This observational study to evaluate status of malnourished children according to the WHO 2007 criteria on 717 childhood burn patients under 6 years of age at National Burns Institute from 4/2012 to 2/2013. Average burn surface area 19 percent and deep burn area 5 percent were predominant (72.4 percent and 85.7 percent respectively). Overall malnutrition was 9.5 percent. The first degree of malnutrition was presented in 88.2 percent, followed by the second degree (11.8 percent). Blood erythrocytes, hemoglobin as well as serum concentration of total protein and albumin in malnourished group on admission and at discharge were lower than that in those without malnutrition.
