The recent years, the rabies in the North of Vietnam has tended to increase in some provinces. The retrospective survey epidemiological characteristics on 93 cases of death cause of rabies was to describe the epidemiological characteristics the death patient caused by rabies in Tuyen Quang province 2001-2010 and describe ways of treating the patients being bitten by dogs. The results indicated that the ages over 15 had 78.5 percent. The patient died of rabies by sex; male had 66.7 percent; female had 33.3 percent, with the highest agriculture had 57.0 percent; the officer had 8.6 percent; trading in dogs, to slaughter had 2.2 percent, the pupils had 24.7 percent, the other occupation had 7.5 percent. Especially to the 81/93 patients died of the rabies without the rabies vaccine. In conclusion, the patient died of rabies rate during 10 years in Tuyen Quang province is focus with the age groups over 15 age. Focus in Ham Yen district, the disease occurs throughout the year, peaked in June - August, up to 87.1 percent of patients died of rabies are not vaccinated against rabies and anti-rabies serum.
