Objective: To assess and compare the results of decomposition reaction of mast cell and Boyden in the diagnosis of drug allergy. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional described stuay was conducted with the control comparison of 45 allergic patients treated at the Department of Allergology and Clinic Immunology (Bach Mai Hospital) and the National Institute of Dermatology. The control group included 45 healthy people. Results: The rate of positive reaction in the use of PPM for the diagnosis of drug allergy reached 86.66 percent. The rates of rapid allergic and slow allergic reaction were 91.30 percent and 59.10 percent respectively. The rate of positive reaction in the use of Boyden for the diagnosis of drug allergy reached 66.66 percent. The rates of rapid allergic and slow allergic reaction are 69.56 percent and 40.90 percent respectively. Conclusion: The sensitivity and effectiveness of Decomposition reaction of Mast cell are higher than that of Boyden.
