
Physical inactivity is one of risk factors in non-communicable diseases. The study was to investigate the relation between physical activity and some risk factors of non-communicable diseases in the age group 40-79 in urban communities in Viet Tri, Phu Tho in the year 2010. There was significantly difference on level of physical activity by age group with p 0.001. Physical activity at the medium level was correlated with the diastolic pressure in women. Proportion with 3 risk factors of NCDs in people with low level of physical activity was higher than group with 3 risk factors with medium and high level of physical activity. In conclusions, It is needed to combine many solutions in prevention and treatment of NCDs. Physical activity can be considered as prescription in NCDs treatment and prevention.
