
Objective: To evaluate the results and determine the indications, advantages of this technique. Patients and method: prospetive and retrospective study based on twenty seven patients older than sixty years old having the fracture of the femoral neck who were treated with bipolar hemiarthroplasties from 5/2010 to 9/2012 in Nam Dinh general hospital. Results: 27 patients from 60 to 86 years old (average 71), including 10 male, 17 female. There is one patient who dead because having the pulmonary embolism. According to the Harris hip score: exellent 13/22, good 5/22, fair 2/22, poor 2/22. Conclusion: This method is advantageous for treating the fracture of the femoral neeck in elderlies patients. It help the patients to moving early and avoiding complications cause by long motionless status.
