The rate of class II maloclusion was high in orthodontic patients. The success of occlusal outcome in orthodontic treatment was assessed by PAR index. The authors compare the outcome of treatment of skeletal class II with microimplant anchorage and conventional anchorage by PAR index. Results: The overbite by PAR index in mlcroimplant group was better than the other group (0.0 + or - 0.2 and 0.2 + or - 0.4). The rate of cases allocated to "greatly improved" in the microimplant group was higher than the other (75 percent vs 53.1 percent).
