In clinical practice, the accuracy prognostic plays a very important role on a brain hemorrhage patients. The basic factor help physicians predict the severity of the disease are the diameters of the pupil and the pupillary light reflex. This study was carried out among 36 brain hemorrhage stroke patientsl (bleeding above cerebellar tent with coma). The results showed that: There were negative correlations between some parameters of the pupil and pupillary light reflex (minimum pupillary diameter, latency time, maximum contraction time in both eyes, contraction time in the contralateral eye) and a positive correlation (contraction velocity in the ipsilateral eye) with the level of consciousness disorders. There were no correlations between the parameters of the pupil, the pupillary light reflex with the degree of paralysis. Preliminary studies have quantified and assessed the relationship between the level of consciousness disorders, paralysis and the parameters of the pupil, the pupillary light reflex.
