The objective of the research is to understand managers' perspectives in terms of using economics solutions to contribute health system modernization in Vietnam at the present time. Results so that some charateristics affecting the operation of health system including (1) Human factor, (2) Medical equipments and pharmaceuticals factor, (3) Financing factor in health field. These financing resources including (1) state budget guarantees costs for the state management apparatlJs in health; community healthcare, infrastructure guarantee for health; social policies implementation in heath such as: providing health insurance for the poor, the elderly and children, etc (2) individual contributions through health insurance and/or directly when using health services. Because of high social welfare charaters of health, it is neccessary for contributions from different individuals, organizations in Vietnam and the world in many ways in specific conditions.
