
The study was caried out to describe knowledge, practice on maternal-child health care of the mothers with children under 5 at two factories in Thanh Hoa province. The results showed that the proportions of mothers with correct knowledge about prenatal care, tetanus injections and iron tablets during pregnancy were 52.1 percent; 31.4 percent and 33.0 percent, respectively; 33.9 percent mothers did not know about the monitored signs after birth. The proportions of mothers made over 3 times antenatal care, tetanus injections enough, taking iron supplements during pregnancy were 78.8 percent; 86.1 percent and 83.4 percent, respectively; 7.4 percent mothers taking self-treatment at home and 20.2 percent going to pharmacy when children are sick. In conclusion: the knowledge, practice of the mothers on maternal-child health care at two factories in Thanh Hoa province has been incompleted.
