Heart failure after acute myocardial infarction may be successfully treated by autologous bone marrow-derived stem cells grafting. Objectives: assessing indexes of peripheral blood, bone marrow of patients with heart failure after acute myocardial infarction who will be treated by autologous bone marrow-derived stem cells grafting. Subjects and methods: The peripheral blood and bone marrow of 35 male patients with heart failure after acute myocardial infarction, whose average age was 57.97 :t 9.64 years, were analyzed by hemogram, myelogram, and CD34+celis count before taking bone marrow stem cell for auto-grafting. Results: The red blood cell, white blood cell and platelet indices of peripheral blood were at the normal range (RBC: 4.56 +/- 0.55 T/L, HGB: 136.97 +/- 16.47 g/L, Reticulocyte ratio: 0.91 +/- 0.24 percent, PLT: 300.17 +/- 96.18 G/L, WBC: 9.45 +/- 2.82 G/L). The number of nucleated cells in bone marrow was 58.17 +/- 35.46 G/L. The morphology and the maturation process of bone marrow cell lines of bone marrow cells were normal. The number of (D34 (+) cells in bone marrow of these patients were 0.54 +/- 0.29 G/L. Conclusion: peripheral blood, bone marrow of patients with heart failure after acute myocardial infarction were all in the normal ranges.
