
Quality of life (QOL) is one of the characteristics should be pay attention when management and treatment of chronic diseases. Review of QOL in children with asthma is a necessary criterion for assessessment of the asthma severity and asthma control. percentconducted this study to assess the QOL of children with asthma. This was a case-series study in 75 children more than 7 year of age with acute asthma who were hospitalized at the Department of Immunology and Allergy of the National Hospital of Paediatrics. Asthma QOL was evaluated based on Juniper criteria. The results showed that asthma QOL score was mild decreased in acute periods of asthma (5.46 points), the older children with asthma had QOL score was lower than the younger children. The obvious influence was asthma symptoms (5.3 points), followed by activity limitation (5.45 points). The less influence was emotional function (6.05 points). Conclusion: QOL should be regularly evaluated in children with asthma in oder to assess the asthma progress as well as asthma control.
