
Objective: Assessing the clinical, paraclinical features of patient who were suffer from infective endocarditis in Hai Phong Viet Tiep frenship Hospital. Methods: Analysing of number, ratio and different comparation of clinical typical symptomes and paraclinical typical main features of infective endocarditis based on diagnostic criterions of Duke. Results: aged: 40,8 + or - 14,5 years, male 54,8 percent, female 45,2 percent, 90,6 percent of hystory of endocarditis was rheumatic valvular heart disease and congenital heart disease. common clinical symptomes were fever for long time of 37,5°C - 39°C, advanced heart failure, drum stick, Janeway erythema, subcutaneous hemorhage, pseudopanaris, enlarged spleen. Paraclinical general features of infections were increasing of number and ratio of neutrocyte, increased of erythrocyte sedimentation, positive erythrocyturia, positive CPR, light anemia, test of positive HIV was 9,7 percent. Positive hemoculture of 38 percent(all of bacteria was staphylococus, streptococus, enterococus (75 percent), pseudomonas aeruginosa 25 percent) and vegetation on suface of commissure of heart valvular and orifice of ventricular septal (100 percent) were two typical main paraclinical criterions of infective endocarditis. Main complications were acute iresusitable advanced heart failure (71 percent), cerebral embolism, septic shock and deaths (29 percent). Conclusion: The diagnostic criterions of disease included two main criterions (38,7 percent) or one main criterion plus three sub-standard criterions (61,3 percent).
