Objectives: To evaluate initially characteristics of unilateral eye disease versus bilateral eye disease (Graves) and to compare the Hertel exophthalmometry measurements before and after decompression for two.group of patients. Patients and method: 65 orbits of 44 patients with Graves orbitopathy in which 6 patients with presumed unilateral Graves orbitopathy. Clinical trial, control group. Conclusion: Graves' eye disease with one eye is less common than disease with both eyes. Degree of average exophthalmos: 20.83 + or - 2.04 Average age of disease onset of unilateral eye disease: 36.5 + or - 10.89. The mean proptosis reduction for the group of patients with unilateral Graves' orbitopathy was 3.5 mm I 0.54 mm versus 2.55 mm I 0.89 mm for the group with bilateral Graves' orbitopathy after decompression 6 months.
