
Introduction and objective: To analyze some clinnical and para-clinical characteristics of criptorchidism in operated adults. Patients and methods: 76 adults with criptorchidism were operated at Center of Andrology and Sexuology - Viet Duc hospital during 2012 (from Jan 1st - Dec 31st 2012); mean age was 25.7+ or - 5.4 years (range 18-40 years). These patients were analyzed on clinical and para-clinical characteristics. Results: Patients came to hospital for operation still late, 81.6 percent was from 30 years and less; 18.4 percent was over 30 years old. The most common reason was non palpable testis in scrotum (61 patients - 80.3 percent). However, there were 8 patients came for infertility (10.5 percent) and 2 patients came for testicle pain. Intra-abdominal testes were found in 45 patients (59.2 percent). Conclusion: Patients came to hospital for operation still too late with accompanying potential risks, especially infertility and testicular carcinoma. Thus, they need to be recommended to see doctor as soon as posible.
