Objectives: To evaluate the changes of coagulation parameters of patient before and after kidney transplantation. Patients and Method: 37 kidney transplant recipients and 37 healthy adults were included in the study. The PT, APTT, fibrinogen, platelet number of two groups were compared and its correlation with some biological parameters were identified. Results: pre-transplant, fibrinogen of patient group was significanly increased (p0.001) and platelet number was lower (p0.0001) in compare to control group; PT and APTT was insignificant different (p0.05). PT has prolonged tendency between the first 2 days post-op (p0.05) and platelet number was significantly increased at 3rd days post-op (p0.05). There was a significant positive correlation between plasma albumin and platelet number; plasma urea and fibrinogen, whereas between plasma urea and platelet number was significant negative correlation (p0.05). Conclusion: coagulation parameters have significant changes and has tendency toward to normal values during first 3 days post-op.
