
Objective: A careful assessment of the satisfaction and factors related to the satisfaction of the patients with surgery at Thu Duc district hospital, Ho Chi Minh city in 2013. Methodology: A cross sectional study of 800 patients with surgery, from June to December 2013 at five surgical departments of Thu Duc district hospital, Ho Chi Minh city. Results: The rate of patients satisfied with surgical treatment was 71.2 percent of which 64.9 percent belongs to the financial procedures and treatment costs; 72.4 percent to the service attitude of doctors and nurses; and 67.5 percent to the administrative procedures, wait for surgery as well as treatment outcome. Conclusion: The hospital should need more measures in order to raise the quality of medical care in a comprehensive manner, and also enhance the satisfaction of patients requiring surgery.
