
Research aims: To study about knowledge, attitudes and behavior of students on voluntary blood donation. Method: Cross sectional study, a structured questionnaire has been used; the target audience is 240 students of the Academy of Journalism and Communication. Results: 40.6 percent students are fully aware of voluntary blood donation; nearly 80 percent of student are willing to donate blood; 40 percent donated before but almost are first time donor (40.4 percent for man and 62.8 percent of femalestudent). Conclusion: High percentage of student is at good knowledge towards blood donation (40.6 percent); 79.2 percent willing to donate blood. The most popular reason to motivate them to donate is the meaning of the "noble" action - giving blood save lives (32.9 percent). But the percentage of student think that blood donation is harmful for health is still high (22.1 percent).
