
Hemi-coronal incision is used commonly in treatment of zygomatic complex fracture: Injury of the frontal branch of facial nerve is a common complication following the hemi-conronal incision that affects the patient both physically and psychologically. A modify hemi-coronal incision is presented with hoping that it avoid injury to the frontal branch of the facial nerve. 54 consecutive zygomatic fractures were indicated opened reduction using the hemi-coronal incision wre divided to two groups: one group using the modifying hemicoronal incision and the other group using the conventional hemi-coronal incision. Postoperative results in studied group using modifying Hemi-coronal incision show that the incidence of injury of the frontal branch of facial nerve is significantly lower than the control group.
