Objectives: To analyze hospital fee for some internal diseases and describe attitude of patients to the hospital fee thereby detennining the relationship of these factors to satisfaction of patients; Methods: Research in patients being in an examination and treatment in Postal Hospital through medical documents, and surveys. Contents: To analyze hospital fee for some internal diseases and detennine the relationship of these factors to satisfaction of patients. Results: Regarding noninsurance medical service, the hospital fee for a period of inpatient treatment was from 13,332,380 + or - 89,430 to 3,096,170 + or - 159,720 VND. The other fees which were not included in medical service composed of 31.57 percent 34.06 percent. To satisfy patients, the reasonable medication fee was 4.2 times higher than that of unreasonable one (confident range 95 percent was 2.6 - 6.6). Conclusions: The hospital fee for a period of inpatient treatment in Postal Hospital is reasonable and accepted by 60.08 percent of patients. Because the percentage of non-medication fees is at low level, the improvement of hospital payment system is an essential requirement. The two most important things to satisfy patients are p transparent payment system, and reasonable cost.
