
Purpose: The aim of this study to evaluate the initial results of cyst removal procedure with preservation of the gastrointestinal tract in gastrointestinal tract duplications in children. Materials and methods: Case series report all patients who have diagnosed gastrointestinal duplications and operated with cyst removal procedure between January 2010 and March 2012 in Children hospital No.!. Noted and ana lysed clinical and paraclinical data; conveniences and difficulties during surgery; postoperative outcomes and complications. Results: There were 9 patients (7 boys and 2 girls). The median age at operation was 19.1 months. Clinical manifestations: neck masses in 2 cases, abdominal pain in 4 cases and incidental finding in 3 cases. The diagnosis was based on ultrasound and CT scan. No patients required transfusion. Early oral feeding . There weren't any complications. Conclusions: cyst removal procedure .can be performed easily, safety and associated with an good result.
