Transabdominal ultrasonography is the first choice examination used for the diagnosis of pancreatic diseases because it is a noninvasive, rapid method and presently widely accessible. In this retrospective study, the authors was carried out to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of transabdominal ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), in detecting the pancreatic cancer. Although in the evaluation of patients with pancreatic cancer, transabdominal ultrasonography is the first choice exploration, CT is often required to establish the size, position, density, metatase of the cancer, support for surgical intervention and choice of the right therapeutic method.
