The purpose of the study was to describe the nutrition related factors of hospitalized patients of Internal ward and surgery ward in No.198 Hospital of Ministry of Police. A prospective study conducted from February to April 2012 in 411 patients hospitalized within 24 hours in the Hospital No.198 showed that: Except the percentage of anorexia of patient in Internal ward was higher than that of patients in Surgery ward (18.4 and 1 percent), other related to risk of malnutrition indicators in Surgery ward were much higher than that in Internal ward: Percentage of unintentional weight loss from 5 to 10 percent was 3 times higher, percantage of dietary intake change was 1.5 times higher (p0.01), percantage of fasting was 10 times higher (p0.001), percantage of reduction offunctional capacity was 2 times higher and percantage of bedridden was 7 times higher.
