This study was to assess the adaptation of material components to the canal at two positions that include the point between third apical and the restriction of length working canal after obturated with the Obtura II system. The authors used radiography and electronic microscope to analyze the difference between cross sections of decalcified root canal. A cross sectional study of 12 molars extracted from patients with tooth infections. The teeth were undamaged morphologically. These teeth were carefully preserved in formalin and processed for radiographic and microscopic studies. According to the radiographic analysis, 10.3 percent canals appear gaps at the central of component, at the third apical; no gap at the rest of canals. Electronic microscope data showed that 100 percent cross sections have a gap on the average diameter from 5-70 um at both positions and no significant difference.
