Objective: To assess impact of nutrition education and communication for mothers on weight and height growth of children less than 24 months of age. Method: Community controlled intervention trial. Results: After 6 months (T6), children' weight and height in intervene group started increasing but not significantly yet compared with that at T0 and in control group (p0.05); However, WAZ and HAZ significantly increased comparing to that at T0 and in control one (p0.05). After 12 months, intervention impact has been found much more clearly, both children' weight and height gain in intervene group found significantly higher than that in control group (p0.01); And, WAZ, HAZ in intervene group clearly improved (p0.001) comparing to that in control one. Conclusion: Nutrition communication model, which aimed to improve Soc Son mothers' knowledge and practices has been found to be positively and significantly impacted to weight and height growth of children less than 24 months, contributing to decrease child malnutrition.
