This study was conducted based on the research results by pharmacist Nguyen Thi Khanh Ly of designing optimal formula Glipizid 10 mg tablets extended-release, then upgrade to pilot scale production of 20,000 tablets/batch and evaluate the process at SaoKimpharrma company and Thai Nguyen university of medicine and pharmacy. Research has built up a standard procedure for scale 20,000 tablets/batch with critical parameters such as speed blender, mixing speed, mixing time, wet kneading time, amount of adhesive excipient, the drying temperature, drying time, compression force, speed tablet press.
