Background:Health-financing is the primary component in the national health system. In the prospect of multiple policies on financial autonomy being issued, the assessment of the financial situation of nursing and rehabilitation hospital is crucial. Objectives: To provide descriptions of the financial status of Nursing and Rehabilitation hospitals in the 2007-2009 period. Methods: Crosssectional descriptions on 35 Nursing and Rehabilitation hospital across the country. Results: The annual budget for each hospital bed and the hospital expenses had the tendency to increase. The expenses for the work class and disease examination take up the largest portion in the total expenses of these hospitals. Conclusions: The hospital needs to actively find budget, revenue and expenditure sources to better operate.
