
Background: Multiple myeloma is a hematological malignancy, due to the proliferation of malignant cell lines plasma. Currently, there are many diagnostic examinations, including bone marrow test. Objectives: To study the value of bone marrow test and comparision with other examinations in diagnosis of multiple myeloma. Patients: 58 patients were diagnosed fistly as multiple myeloma at The No.108 Military Central Hospital from 1/2005 to 3/2012. Methods: Retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study. Results and conclusions: The value of bone marrow test in the diagnosis of multiple myeloma is 87.93 percent with plasma cells or = 10 percent; 51.72 percent with plasma cells 30 percent; omitted 12.07 percent (among them, there are 8.92 percent with normal bone marrow). In the diagnosis of multiple myeloma, bone marrow tests are ranked third with plasma cells or = 10 percent. (after X-ray examination and quantification of protein M; X2 = 133.09 and p 0,001).
