Objectives: To study clinical, audiological, MRI presentations of acoustic neuroma (AN) and the correlation between them. Materials and methods: Descriptive study from September 2012 to September 2014. Thirty-seven AN patients were identified on the basis of MRI Results: Sixteen males and twenty-one females, mean age was 46 years. Hearing loss was the most common and earliest symptom (91.9 percent; 37 months) with 11.8 percent of the patients had sudden sensorineural hearing loss. Headache was the chief complaint in 59.5 percent of the cases. 64.9 percent of affected ears had pure tone average (PTA) worse than 80 dB. The mean tumor diameter was 38.2 mm; 83.7 percent were large and giant tumors. There was no statistically significant relationship between duration of symptoms and tumor size. Tumor dimension did not strongly correlate with pain intensity (VAS) and PTA. Conclusions: The majority of AN were lately detected. Combination of clinical, audiological and MRI assessment were requisite for the diagnosis of ANs.
