
Cardiopulmonary bypass (CBP) in the surgical treatment for thoracic aortic disease from January 2012 to January 2014, 35 consecutive cases of thoracic aortic diseases were operated under cardiopulmonary bypass in the Cardiovascular Department of National Institute of Heart and Vascular. The method of CBP included: Selective arterial cerebral perfusion (SACP).28°C hypothermia. Normothermic and warm blood cardioplegia. The first results showed: no complication related to heamodtlution. Technique of SACP brought good results; the operations were conducted easily, the operative complication and mortality were equal with other statistics. The authors think that the method of CPB should be use as a method of choice in surgical treatments for thoracic aortic arch diseases.
