Candida vaginitis is a common disease in Vietnam and many countries around the world. The patients with vaginal candidiasis have itching sensations, irritability, loss of interest in sex and greatly affect to the quality of life. If not treated properly and in time, the disease will cause complications makes it difficult to treat. Until now, there is no research on this issue in Sonia province. Objective: To determine the prevalence of candidiasis in patients with vaginal discharge syndrome examined at Son La Hospital of Leprosy and Dermatology, from October 2012 to June 2013. Subjects and method: 224 patients were taken samples, performed directly; testing and culture techniques according to WHO specifications. Results and conclusion: The rates of candidiasis by West mouth, Gram Stain, culture techniques are 20.09 percent, 18.30 percent, 14.73 percent, respectively.
