Sâm Nam núi Dành, là một loài cây dược liệu quý được phân bố ở chân núi Dành ở tỉnh Bắc Giang, có tên khoa học là Callerya speciosa (Champ. ex BenthSchot,1994) thuộc Ngành Ngọc lan (Magnoliopsita), Lớp Ngọc Lan (Magnoliphita), Phân Lớp Hoa Hồng (Rosidae), Bộ đậu (Fabaceae), Họ Đậu (Fabaceae), Phân họ Đậu (Faboideae). Củ sâm có lớp vỏ bên ngoài hơi cứng, bên trong lõi màu vàng nhạt, mùi thơm dịu và có vị hơi ngọt. Sâm Nam núi Dành có tác dụng trong việc điều trị đau vùng lưng, khớp, thông kinh hoạt lạc, bổ nhuận phế, chữa cơ thể suy nhược,kém ăn, ho nhiều đờm, nhức đầu, sốt, bí tiểu tiện. Bước đầu đã xác định được sự có mặt của các hoạt chất saponin, flavonoid, acid hữu cơ, acid amin và saccharid trong các mẫu Sâm có độ tuổi từ 3 - 7 năm. Kết quả phân tích địnhl ượng các nhóm chất saponin,Flavonoid, polysaccharid trong 5 mẫu Sâm Nam núi Dành ở các độ tuổi 3 năm, 4 năm, 5 năm, 6 năm và 7 năm tuổi cho thấy mẫu Sâm Nam núi Dành 7 năm tuổi có hàm lượng lượng saponin ,11%, flavonoid 6,25%, polysaccharid 35,09%; mẫu Sâm Nam núi Dành 6 năm tuổi hàm lượng lượng saponin ,73%, flavonoid 4,96%, polysaccharid 33,41%; Sâm Nam núi Dành 5 tuổi hàm lượng lượng saponin ,38%, flavonoid 76%, polysaccharid 32,01%; Sâm Nam núi Dành 4 tuổi hàm lượng lượng saponin 2,13%, flavonoid 2,6%, pysaccharid 28,24%; Sâm Nam núi Dành 3 tuổi hàm lượng lượng saponin 1,52%,flavonoid 0,80%, polysaccharid 129%. Điều này cho thấy các hoạt chất chính có dược tính cao sẽ được tích tụ và phát triển theo độ tuổi cây sâm kết hợp với điều kiện khí hậu, thổ nhưỡng và nuôi trồng phù hợp.
Nam Ginseng on the Danh mountain is a precious medicinal plant that is distributed in the foothills of Danh Mountain, Bac Giang Province. This ginseng has the scientific name Callerya speciosa (Champ. ex BenthSchot, 1994) belonging to the phylum Magnoliophyta, class Magnoliopsida, subclass Rosidae, order Fabales, family Fabaceae, and subfamily Faboideae. The outer skin of the ginseng root is slightly hard, the inner core is pale yellow, the aroma is mild, and the taste is slightly sweet. Ginseng is effective in the treatment of back pain, joints, smooth meridians, laxatives, weakness, poor appetite, cough with a lot of phlegm, headache, fever, and urinary retention. Initial research has determined the presence of saponins, flavonoids, organic acids, amino acids, and saccharides in ginseng samples aged 3-7 years. The results of a quantitative analysis of saponins, flavonoids, and polysaccharides in five samples of Danh mountain-Nam Ginseng aged 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 years showed that the 7-year-old sample had a saponin content of 9.11%, a flavonoid content of 6.25%, and an olysaccharide content of 35.09%. The 6-year-old sample had saponins, flavonoids, and polysaccharides content of 5.73%, 4.96%, and 33.41%, respectively. The 5, 4, and 3-year-old samples had saponins, flavonoids, and polysaccharides content of 3.38%, 3.76%, and 32.01%; 2.13%, 2.56%, and 8.24%; and 1.52%, 0.80%, and 12.49%, respectively. This shows that the main active ingredients with high medicinal properties will be accumulated and developed according to the age of the ginseng plant, combined with suitable climatic, soil, and farming conditions.
