The study was conducted on 123 outpatient with type 2 diabetes treated in Kien An hospital from 01/2011 to 06/2011. Results: The team has an average age of 60.4 + 9.7; women accounted for 66.7 percent. The rate of type 2 diabetes have ECG abnormalities was 48.8 percent. There are 3 common types of ECG abnormalities: rapid heart rate (15.4 percent), increased left ventricular load (10.6 percent) and ischemic heart disease (26.8 percent), in which myocardial infarction accounted for 65 percent of them. Proportion of male patients had ECG abnormalities is more than women (68.3 percent versus 53.7 percent), especially the rate of increased left ventricular load (14.6 percent versus 8.5 percent) and ischemic heart disease without myocardial infarction (31.7 percent versus 24.4 percent), p 0.05. As the duration of diabetes is longer, as the rate of ECG abnormalities is higher; in patients over 10 years of diabetes, the rate of ECG abnormalities is 100 percent. Ischemic heart disease, increased left ventricular load and rapid heart rate are most clearly related to duration of diabetes, p 0.05. The percentage of patients with ECG abnormalities increased with older of age. In the group 49 of age, 35.7 percent of patients had ECG abnormalities; in the group or = 70 of age, this rate is up to 96 percent (p0.05). The group with dyslipidemia have the rate of ECG abnormalities is higher than group without dyslipidemia, in which ischemic heart disease, myocardial infarction and rapid heart rate are difference with statistically significant.
