Cholesteatome bẩm sinh: Hình thái lâm sàng và kết quả điều trị

Retrospective study of 13 case of congenital cholesteatoma in ENT national hospital. The mean age was 15 years. The most common clinical presentation was unilateral transmission hearing loss or atypic otitis media with effusion. A transcanal approach was performed in 1 case, an intact canal wall technique in 10 cases and radial mastoidectomy in 2 cases. A two stage surgery was necessary in 7 patients, whom a residual cholesteatoma was observed in 5 patients (38.5 percent). A functional success (air bon gap inferior or egal to 20 dB) was obtained in 23 percent of cases.
